My name is Cynthia Clark. Born in Washington DC. I am the middle child out of 3. My mother died at a very young age. I grew up having a complicated family that indulged heavily in drugs and penitentiary. Growing up seeing my uncles and cousins go in and out of prison for 90 percent of their lives.
When I look at the fact that they could never get their lives together regardless of the system designed to help them. One day the vision came to me if I deal with the whole man and give them an opportunity to become a better person. Instead of giving them three meals a day, I could teach them how to go and get their own meal. My vision is to limit as many repeat felons as possible. I watched my Uncles and realize that something needs to be done. More than giving them a place to sleep and a hot meal than putting them out on the street.
